~thankful THURSDAYS~

1} PEACE FROM JESUS- Last night was a night of terrible storms/tornados. Our area was hardly effected, a little rain, no hard winds, no hail. We are very fortunate, I'm praying for the families of the victims in many, many states....I think the anxiety of knowing a storm is on the way kills me, but I just kept praying & had that ultimate peace, went right to sleep with Channel 2 News on up until the night.

2} FLIP FLOPS - Summer time, brings "Flip Flops"....I LOVE wearing them, I have tons of colors, so easy to slide on and go....

WeDnEsDaY

1. What is something that bothers you if its not done perfectly?


Hmmm...I'M VERY PICKY, SO ALOT OF THINGS THAT ARE NOT DONE PERFECTLY IN MY OPINION BOTHERS ME. THE HOUSE HAS TO CLEANED IN A CERTAIN WAY, AND IF I SEE A LITTLE DUST ON THE FLOOR I HAVE TO DRAG THE VACUUM OUT, BATHROOMS HAVE TO CLEANED IN A CERTAIN MANNER AS WELL, AND THEN THERE'S THE YARDWORK....I HONESTLY THINK I HAVE OCD AND I LIKE DOING IT ALL MYSELF....WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE HELP, BUT I HAVE SOMETHING INSIDE ME THAT WANTS TO DO IT ALL BY MYSELF!


2. What is one of your best childhood memories?

I HAVE SO MANY....ONE WOULD PROBABLY BE ME & MY SISTER GOING ON HIKES THROUGH THE WOODS IN THE BACK OF OUR PROPERTY UP TO MY GREAT-GRANDPARENTS, ALL THE WAY TO THE CREEK. WE WOULD CARRY US A BACKPACK WITH SNACKS/WATER ETC. WE TRUELY THOUGHT WE WERE GOING ON A REAL ADVENTURE OF OUR OWN. WE USED TO CARRY WALKIE TALKIES AS WELL, WE WOULD LIVE ONE AT HOME FOR MY MOM AND WE WOULD TAKE THE OTHER ONE. WE WOULD GET TO THE CREEK AND TAKE OUR SHOES OFF TO WADE IN IT....JUST SOME OF THE SUMMER MEMORIES I HAVE....THOSE WERE THE DAYS....I HOPE MY DAUGHTER HAS THE PRIVILAGE OF GETTING TO HAVE HER OWN ADVENTURES AS A KID AS WELL.....

3. Do you plan to watch the Royal Wedding and when was the last time you wore a hat?

NO, I HAVE NO DESIRE, I'M SURE I WILL SEE PHOTOS OF IT ON THE INTERNET, TO ME THEY ARE NO MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYONE ELSE BESIDES THEM BEING REALLY RICH. THE LAST TIME I WORE A HAT WAS PROBABLY LAST SUMMER, WEARING A GEORGIA BULLDOG BASEBALL CAP...WHEN I HAD THE LONG HAIR I COULD PUT IN A PONYTAIL, NOT ANYMORE...

4. Where do you fall in the birth order in your family? Do you think this has influenced your personality?

I'M THE OLDEST. I FEEL LIKE THAT MAKES ME MORE OF A LEADER INSTEAD OF A FOLLOWER, MORE BOLD...HARD-HEADED IS WHAT DESCRIBES ME AS WELL....I TAKE CHARGE IN MOST SITUATIONS.

5. Where do you think you spend most of your money?

LATELY I WOULD SAY HOME IMPROVEMENTS. IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS REPLACING OR FIXED. WE HAVE BEEN DOING ALOT AROUND OUR HOUSE, WE DID THE INSIDE LAST SUMMER, THE KITCHEN. THIS YEAR WE'RE DOING MORE OUTDOOR THINGS, WE PURCHASED 48 LEYLAND CYPRESSES, INSTALLED A UNDERGROUND SPRINKLER SYSTEM ABOUT A MONTH OR SO BACK. NOW WE'RE EITHER DOING CONCRETE EDGING OR A NEW OUTDOOR BUILDING....I LOVE DOING IMPROVEMENTS, DOES TAKE LOTS OF $$ BUT THAT'S SOMETHING WE LIKE TO SAVE OUR EXTRA MONEY TO DO....IF WE DON'T HAVE THE $$ WE DON'T DO IT!!

6. When you need to confront someone would you rather communicate in person, by phone, by email or by letter? Why?

I WOULD SAY IN PERSON. EMAIL AND PHONE TO ME IS THE "NOT GUTS RESPONSE". I THINK IF SOMEONE IS WORTH CONFRONTING IT'S BETTER TO DO IT IN PERSON...."NO GUTS, NO GLORY..."

7. Dodgeball, freeze tag, kickball or jump rope? You have to pick one.

I WOULD SAY KICKBALL....I ALWAYS LOVED PLAYING THIS IN SCHOOL.

{New LiFe}

Easter WEEKEND....

This past weekend was more than good, it was GREAT!!! The weather was wonderful, alot of time to spend outdoors, visiting with family, church time....

Chloe had so much fun egg hunting this year. She wasn't so sure about the Easter bunny, she kept asking 101 questions, "Does he ride in a sleigh, like Santa ?", "How does he get from house to house ?", and one I thought was pretty funny, but very observant, "Did the bunny email you like Santa did ?" ( She remembered that little video where you put yours childs photo in and the Santa on there tells some things you been asking for etc.) I think we have a very inquisitive little girl.....She is very smart, and really adds all of the details up....

I was off work yesterday and got alot of yard work finished....I'm SOooooo....Loving all of my flowers blooming in my flower gardens, makes me want to carry my camera around taking shots of all of the beautiful blooms....We've been watching the many bird nests around our house....some are hatched, others aren't....got a few shots of some last night......

1. What is your favorite Easter tradition?

GOING TO CHURCH, THEN HAVING LUNCH AT MY GRANDMA'S. HIDING EGGS FOR CHLOE & THEN GOING TO VISIT MY OTHER GRANDPARENTS....A BIG FAMILY DAY....

2. Are you a "shower" or a "long, hot bath" kind of person?

I PREFER A NICE HOT SHOWER....BATHS ARE NICE BUT I STILL FEEL DIRTY LAYING IN WHAT YOU JUST WASHED OFF...IF I DO A BATH, I HAVE TO GET A SHOWER AFTERWARDS.

3. Can you parallel park and if so when is the last time you did it?

I CAN, I DID IT FOR DRIVING TEST, IF DO PARALLEL PARK I TRY TO DO IT BY PULLING THROUGH TO MAKE SURE I'M STRAIGHT....NOT BIG ON PARALLEL PARKING THOUGH.

4. What is your favorite Easter candy?

Hmmmmm.... I JUST TO ABSOLUTELY LOVE PEEPS, BUT NOT BIG ON THOSE ANYMORE. I USED TO LIKE THE COLORED EGGS THAT HAS MARSHMELLOW STUFF INSIDE, BUT DIDN'T NOTICE ANY THIS YEAR ANYWHERE.

5. Easter: do you go all out with the Easter Bunny or focus on the religious part of the holiday?

WE FOCUS ON THE RELIGIOUS PART ( THE REAL MEANING) BUT WE ALSO TAKE CHLOE EGG HUNTING AS WELL....AND DON'T MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT EASTER BUNNY, I MENTIONED IT LAST NIGHT AND SHE WAS LIKE "WHO ?????"

THANKFUL Thursday

1} I am Thankful for the Promise that Jesus gave me on Easter....Good Friday the day Jesus gave his life for us & our sins...the 3rd day HE AROSE!!!!!!! Some things in life have such uncertainity....but there is Eternal Hope with Jesus!!!!



2} I am Thankful also for the fun, even though alot more secular that little kiddos have hunting egggs. This will be Chloe's 3rd time hunting eggs, she is becoming a pro, we practiced last night. Hope she isn't too disappointed that some eggs only have candy, she had informed me earlier in the week that some have $$$ in them...I told her the Prize egg may but sure that the others will not.

WEDNESDAY - Hodge Podge

1. What are your plans for Easter day/weekend?

I HAVE TO WORK ON GOOD FRIDAY, WHICH I FIND VERY SECULAR, WE'RE OFF FOR EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY UNDER THE SUN, BUT NOT THE DAY THE ONE AND ONLY GOD DIED ON THE CROSS FOR US...DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE SITUATION, COULD GO ON AND ON....SO SATURDAY MORNING WE'RE HEADING TO OUR CHURCH EGG HUNT....CHLOE'S 3RD YEAR OF HUNTING EASTER EGGS, 1ST YEAR HER DADDY IS GOING TO GET TO GO, HE HAS HAD TO WORK THE LAST 2 YEARS...SHE IS SUPER-EXCITED, SHE TOLD ME SOME OF THE EGGS WERE GOING TO HAVE $$ IN THEM...LOL. Top 2 Things You Collect

1) Antique Sewing Machines - Sorta odd I know...I took Home & Interior Designs in High school and got hooked on making outfits, purses, pillows etc. guess it sparked a creative side of me. I found most of these "junkin" as you might guess, I think I have 3-4 upstairs in my bonus room. I haven't used them, well maybe 1 time, just been too extremely busy with my 3 year old daughter....but just nice knowing I have them in case one day I just can't find anything to consume my time with ( yeah, right Lol.)

2) Raggedy Ann/Andy Memorabilia - I have some fetish for about the last 10 years about collecting this rustic old raggedy dolls....Everything from ornaments of them ( as I do a Raggedy Christmas tree in my dining room every year) to just the dolls in general etc....

SUCCESSFUL weekend of Unforseen Treasures...

I got to do my FAVORITE #1 Hobby Friday & Saturday....Huge Subdivision Community Garage sales....I was in HEAVEN!!! I started out Friday morning by myself junkin', house to house....I got some pretty good deals....some super cute shoes for Chloe, 3 pair for $5.00, can't wait until this fall when she can wear them, one pair was the "Born" brand which are extremely expensive, but oh, so cute and the 2 others were little suede boots...I got some other odds & ends....

By Saturday I had convinced my sister to come down and go with me & Chloe ( also nice to have someone help watch Chloe, as these community neighborhood sales have massive amounts of cars/trucks rambling up & down the road) - We got a big purchase at the 1st stop...so the bungie cords came out...! I think Andrea was rather embarassed, not me...I kept on trucking!!

I found a really cute wrought iron bench & chair set...paid for it and was going to have to come back to pick it up, the lady re-sold it for a higher price while I was gone....Let's just say I was NOT a HAPPY CAMPER!!!

I guess my favorite find of the day on Saturday was my Awesome mini digital camera I got, only 2 1/2 years old, still had the box/manual, a nice camera case...All for $25...I was just thinking the day prior how I would love to have a little mini camera to always keep in my purse for those unexpected great photography moments....and I lucked out on finding exactly what I was secretly hoping for....Chloe's great find of the dsy was a metal bubble gum machine, even though she insisted she is going to put jelly beans in it instead....

I have to say I had a Pretty Sucessful weekend of Junkin'......Until next time....Waiting on the signs to start popping up down the road for some unforseen Treasures.......

~Spring Time = New LIFE~

Spring time is such a beautiful season....all of the new flowers bloom, the birds tweeting, the array of color. Chloe has been watching some bird eggs we found this week, well actually we only found one about 1 week ago, and last night we looked and there are 3 more, blue eggs, I assume Robin eggs....Chloe has been in true ewe of them....Just a hint from Jesus that new life is for Everything and Everyone....





As we celebrate Easter next weekend, I hope to share the TRUE reason of the celebration with Chloe. Christmas time is an important time, the birth of our Saviour but I feel that Easter is just as important, the AWESOME sacrifice of our Saviours Life......so we might be forgiven and one day meet our WONDERFUL Master!

Did I Mention I LOVE Shopping !!!! ?????

I am so ADDICTED to shopping....It's just my personal outlet I guess, my personal therapy as I like to call it. I'm not like the average shopper either, I hardly ever, if almost NEVER go shopping unless I have coupons or codes to use for extra %'s off....My 11th Commandment that I put on FB today " NEVER PAY RETAIL PRICE ".

I'm a Happy, VERY happy Woman today, took my lunch break to Kohl's ( did I mention I LOVE this store) I love the extra % off's that they send every month....and I lucked out with the extra 30% today....so my power-run of scrambling through the store in a 1 hour lunch break trying to make it to all of the important racks....I found some cute capris, some cute tankini (gotta wear these after having a little one, no motivation in exercising plus no time)a cute top ( would like another in a different color), Chloe a shirt... And another Great thing is I have another 6 days to use the 30% so I'll probably make my rounds to the other Kohls' I patronize, there is one less than 2 miles from my house and one about another 8 miles from my house....and one 1 mile from my work.....TOO MUCH TEMPTATION!!!!!!!!!!




I shop retail stores, but I really prefer Garage Sales....but sometimes nice getting something brand new.....Just ANOTHER Happy Day of Shopping ~ ~ ~ ~

I DON'T REALLY CARE FOR CROWDED PLACES FOR CONVERSATION, YOUR CONSTANTLY YELLING TO COMMUNICATE, I PREFER A CONVERSATION WITH 2 PEOPLE.

2. What objects do you remember from your parent's living room?

FRAMES, PHOTOS EVERYWHERE, SORT OF A COUNTRY CHARM LIVING ROOM...

3. Do you hog the bed, steal the covers, snore?

I'M GUILTY OF 2 OF THESE....I DO HOG THE BED, WE HAVE A HUGE KING BED, BUT I ALWAYS LOVE SLEEPING IN THE MIDDLE RIGHT UP NEXT TO MY HUBBY, I'M A CUDDLER, BUT HE LIKES HIS SPACE. AND I DO ADMIT I STEAL THE COVERS, I LOVE BEING ALL WRAPPED UP....MY HUSBAND CATCHES ME DOING THIS ALMOST NIGHTLY....JUST MAKES ME PROVE MY POINT OF IF WE CUDDLE WE CAN SHARE THE COVERS MORE.... :)



4. Speaking of Easter dinner...what is your favorite way to cook/eat lamb? Or does just the thought of that make you squeamish? If you're not cooking lamb what will be your entree du jour on Easter Sunday?

NEVER HAD LAMB, AND DOESN'T SOUND TOO APPEALING TO ME. WE USUALLY HAVE CHICKEN OR HAM ON EASTER. WE EAT AT MY GRANDPARENTS HOUSE FOR LUNCH.

** WEEKEND Re-CAP ** {Blessings in Disguise}

This weekend was AWESOME, beautiful weather & alot of things accomplished. My parents came and picked up Chloe Friday....They wanted to surprise her @ the daycare and pick her up ( she wasn't as surprised as they thought she would be, but was tickled pink when they said that they were stopping by our house to pick up her suitcase.) We all had a nice dinner together before they headed north with Chloe.

Saturday, kid-free, we decided to venture out to some garage sales....(My FAV.) We found tons & tons to go to, we loaded up on some good deals & stuff...even some people we're giving things away that were practically brand new.... We shopped all afternoon.
Our last stop the Lord led us to this particular house ( I just felt that it was blessing in disguise :) We bought 1 thing from them and as we were loading it up, the man asked if we knew anyone that could clean up a huge pile of brush he had from a tree that had fallen in the storms the week prior. I just felt a little lightbulb go off....hello, here's a great opportunity for some extra $$$. ( and to ones that may not know my husband is a Logger & owns lots of chain saws, chipper etc. so it was right up his alley.) Oh, yes, forgot to mention we had already lined up another side job for Saturday afternoon as well, some trees that had been cut down we need to cut up and take away....So a Kid-free afternoon with 2 potential side jobs..... :)
We headed home and changed in to some work clothes, I grabbed some gloves and we headed out.
The 1st family we worked for were extremely nice. We got to know them very well, they were a great Christian family....They even helped us some as we completed the job for them....and only took about 1-2 hours with alot of that being just socializing with them.
Loaded back up and headed to next side job....It was already starting to get dark, but we got it finished as well.
We worked very well together and even got to go out for a bite for dinner as well even though it was after 10:00 pm, ( we were kid-free and living it up, not having a curfew of when to get Chloe-bug in the bed).....

So I thank the Lord for providing this weekend......Got several trips planned this summer, along with some home improvements were wanting to accomplish....So we are Forever Thankful for any Doors Opened in our Favor this weekend.............................


SIDE NOTE: Chloe got to compete in the Pinewood Derby Saturday. I was sort of sad I didn't get to see her do it, it was a last minute thing ( they needed her to fill in for some kids that didn't get to attend). So LOVED it, and to top it off, she won 2nd place in her age category.......She was "talking cotton" about her trophy she won and blue ribbon.......

PROBABLY CHANNING TATUM....HE IS A HOTTIE!!!

2. Do you have any food restrictions?

I USED TO BE ON A STRICT FOOD RESTRICTION DIET, WHEN I 1ST GOT COLITIS, EVERYTHING MADE ME SO SICK....BUT THANKFULLY WITH THE LORDS HELP & SOME MEDICATION, I CAN EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING...( NEVER HAVE ATTEMPTED HOTDOGS AGAIN THOUGH, HEARD SUCH HORROR STORIES FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE THIS CONDITION, NOT WILLING TO CHANCE IT....)

3. How much time do you take to get ready in the morning?

REALLY NOT THAT MUCH....I HAVE MY ALARM SET FOR 6:00 AND OUT THE DOOR BY 7:00, AND THAT IS GETTING A SHOWER, ME GETTING READY AND GETTING CHLOE READY....NOT TOO SHABBY....AND MOST OF THE TIME I LAY IN THE BED UNTIL ALMOST 6:15 AM, SO WE'RE BOTH READY AND OUT THE DOOR IN 45 MINUTES....WE'RE LITTLE SPEED DEMONS IN THE MORNING...LOL.

4. Sausage or bacon?

I PREFER BACON, AND I LIKE MY BACON CRISPY....NOT CHEWY.

5. Do you Google, Bing or Yahoo?

I YAHOO AND GOOGLE....AND YES, I'M CONSTANTLY USING IT NUMEROUS TIMES EACH DAY....

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

IT WOULD PROBABLY BE TRYING TO CALM MY "OCD OF CLEANING" DOWN. I CLEAN SO MUCH MY HUSBAND SAYS THAT I NEGLECT ALOT OF TIME WITH HIM AND MY LITTLE GIRL, BUT I JUST FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY BE DOING SOME SORT OF CLEANING, EITHER CLOTHES, DISHES, BATHROOMS, FLOORS ETC. LOST ????!!!! WOW!!! I CAN GET LOST ANYWHERE, AS MY HUSBAND LIKES TO STATE. I CALL IT "EXPLORING"!! I LOVE GOING TO GARAGE SALES ON THE WEEKENDS AND NOT BEING FAMILIAR WITH ALL ROADS EVERYWHERE I VENTURE YOU DO GET LOST. ONE EXPERIENCE WAS OKAY, A BUNCH OF US TEENAGERS ON A YOUTH WEEKEND CAMPING IN TENTS...OTHER TIME ENDED UP RAINING ALL NIGHT....COLD & RAINY....NOT PLEASUREABLE TO ME AT ALL....I PREFER A MOTEL......BED, AIR AND/OR HEAT, TOLIETS....ETC....

4. Have you donated blood?

YES, I USED TO EVERY 6 WEEKS, WE HAVE A LIFESOUTH RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM MY WORK....THEY USED TO DO LITTLE INCENTIVES TO GET YOU TO COME IN AS WELL, FREE T-SHIRT AND FREE LUNCH TO A LOCAL RESTAURANT....I SHOULD GO BACK....ALWAYS MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED A FRIENDLY TASK BY HELPING OTHERS OUT THAT NEED IT.....JUST REALLY HATE ALL OF THE MANY, MANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE TO ANSWER AND THE WHOLE LONG PROCESS....MAYBE I'LL GO IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.... :)

5. Do you have a budget or do you 'fly by' most months?

YES, I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A BUDGET....I GUESS IT'S MORE OF A MENTAL ONE THOUGH....I DO ALL OF OUR FINANCES FOR OUR FAMILY AND I KNOW IF WE CAN OR CAN'T AFFORD SOMETHING ETC. I'M VERY BIG ON COUPONS AND FEEL SO GOOD ABOUT SAVING OUR FAMILY MONEY....I DON'T THINK MY OCD WOULD LET ME 'FLY BY' I WOULD BE WORRIED SICK...NO SLEEP...ETC.

Today I am Thankful for my Parents, A.K.A Chloe's Grandparents. I am very family orientated, I've always been very close to my grandparents and were with my great-grandparents when they were still living....You learn so much about your family heritage...and form that SPECIAL bond that is undescriable!!!

My Grandparents have always been an Important part of my life. I grew up my whole life across the road from my one set of grandparents and went to church & still currently do with my other set. Both are Great Christian Examples to our families...

I have always wanted Chloe to have that Special bond with her grandparents as well...My parents totally ADORE Chloe....they Spoil her as most grandparents do....she thinks the World of them as well....She is always talking about her "Nana" or her "Papa"...they are usually the 1st ones she prays for Every night when we say our prayers.
I am Forever Thankful that she gets to spend time with them and that they are such a Positive Influence on her life....She lights up anytime that we say " We're on our on Way to Papa & Nana's HOUSE...."

{Great but UnEventful Weekend}

Did some junkin' AKA yard saling Friday & Saturday - not a whole lot found, but we searched and found some, only bought a couple of things -
Friday I pampered myself as well....I went for a haircut & highlights ( haven't had my hair highlighted since I was about 21...and not since I've been dating or married to my husband) decided I wanted a change....was tired of the boring brown drabby hair...knew I would be outside alot this coming Spring/Summer...so opted for some highlights....Shorter hair as well, hoping this will cut down on some time-consuming hair chores every morning....we shall see on that note....Hubby was pleasantly surprised, he said he liked it and was looking forward to having a "SPUNKY" wife...Amazing what a few highlights will do... HaHaHa!!!!!!
Saturday was "Girls day", My better-half had to work so me & Chloe did some fun things together, let her choose her favs. of course, Taco Bell was one thing on the top of her list. We worked/played outside most of the day, very beautiful but rather windy and cool with the breezes.
Sunday - church and quality time with my parents/grandparents....and of course some good quality time outdoors....hey, even got a little sun tan from laying out in my last year's birthday present ....my LOVELY hammock!!!
