Cookouts, Swimming Pool Time, Family Time....WHAT more could a girl ask For ??

This past weekend flew by, but was so much enjoyed! Hubs had to work most of the weekend but me & Miss Chloe spent it together. We ventured to the pool Saturday, stayed about 5 hours....a little sunburn, & a weary little tot, we were tuckered out Saturday night, but Chloe had a little thread of excitement left in her, so we met up with Chloe's little pal, Christopher for a few more hours of playtime outdoors.

Sunday we had church and spent the afternoon with family, & of course a much-needed nap was in store.

Monday, my sister was down so we all loaded the golf cart up and headed to the pool again....We got a little more sun and enjoyed chatting with everyone....kinda the "grape-vine" of the subdivision. Later Monday afternoon we had my parents come down and we had a cookout....even got a little manual labor from them as they helped me plant some more hosta plants....I swear one day I will get all of my "To-Do" lists completed, but Channel 111 DIY channel is hampering that as I have constant, I mean CONSTANT ideas flooding my brain ( I know my hubby is crossing his fingers the whole time).

**WEEKEND recap - Parade & Family Photo Session**

This past weekend was W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L!!!!! We went to the Mountain Laurel Parade in Clarkesville (my hometown). Chloe was so Exited & anxious about the parade! We had soooo....much fun!! Chloe learned that the more you yell at the parade participants the MORE candy you get...Chloe literally yelled @ every single float....from " FORD, Rules!!" a Ford truck pulling a float to some church floats, Chloe yelling "Jesus Loves you!!"
Chloe stayed at her grandparents for the evening and spent the night. We did some much needed yard work, well actually finishing up our BIG project that was done the middle of week. We worked until almost dark....needless to say I'm still sore in my legs from the constant up/down bending of putting rock & landscaping material down...

Yesterday we had an AWESOME photo shoot with SWEET FAMILY LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY....I was VERY, impressed, Chloe was in a great mood, 2 hour nap and the personalities of the photographers & Chloe just was a TOTAL hit!
Chloe was laughing/giggling and just having a good ol' time....I am positive that photos are going to be Super!! I LOVE outdoor photos and the outdoor scenery was great, very rustic and ridgid...
Not only was the photo session great....but it was very relaxing as well....Kudos to Leslie & Tanya!!! You both ROCK!!!!!

5 Q'S FOR FRIDAY

1. Do you and your spouse go to bed at the same time?

WE USUALLY GO TO THE BEDROOM AT THE SAME TIME. WE WATCH TV FROM OUR BED AFTER PUTTING CHLOE TO BED...I FIND IT HELPFUL SINCE USUALLY AFTER A LITTLE WHILE OF WATCHING TV, I'M EITHER ASLEEP OR ABOUT TO DOZE OFF, SO I CAN JUST HIT THE REMOTE AS I HIT THE PILLOW. I'M A RATHER LIGHT-SLEEPER THOUGH, I THINK THAT COMES WITH BEING A MOMMY....SOMETIMES I MAKE MY ROUNDS IN THE DARK, CHECK ON CHLOE, GO TO POTTY, PUT MORE CHAPSTICK ON....BUT THEN I CAN BE TOTALLY OUT OF IT WITHIN SECONDS....

2. A question for the ladies...What kind of facial hair do you like on your man?

I LOVE, LOVE FACIAL HAIR....NOT TOO MUCH, BUT A MAN WITH NONE MAKES ME THINK OF A BABY OR YOUNG TEENAGER....I LOVE GOATEE'S, MY HUBBY NEVER HAD ONE UNTIL WE GOT TOGETHER....AND HE USED TO HAVE SIDEBURNS, BUT RATHER STRANGE WITH A SLICK SHAVEN HEAD...AND THE LITTLE HAIR UNDER THE LIP NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT THAT IS CALLED....I LOVE THE "RIDGID COUNTRY LOOK"....AKA "MALBORO MAN" AS I USED TO CALL IT...
3. What's the worst vacation you've ever taken?

WELL I HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF ROUGH ONES. SICK ON 2 TRIPS THAT I KNOW OF. ONE WAS REALLY, REALLY BAD. 1ST YEAR TO MYRTLE BEACH, MY THROAT STARTED GETTING SCRATCHY AND THE DRAINAGE MADE ME NAUSEATED. SO NOT SURE IF I HAD A VIRUS & STREP, BUT NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT THE WHOLE TRIP, I HAD A TRASH CAN BY MY SIDE....I WAS SO SICK!!! AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE I HAD DIARRHEA! SO MY PARENTS FOUND A LOCAL DR.'S OFFICE, AND THEY GAVE ME A SHOT OF SOMETHING AND SOME MORE MEDS. WE WENT BACK TO OUR BEACH HOUSE AND I SLEPT ALL AFTERNOON....ATE SOME SOUP & JELLO....FINALLY AFTER 2 DAYS I WAS BETTER....MISERABLE TRIP IN THE BEGINNING....LUCKILY NO ONE ELSE GOT SICK THOUGH.

4. What's the first-ever blog you followed?

"THE LOONEY FAMILY" - A CO-WORKERS WIFES BLOG...SHE REALLY HELP ME GET STARTED AND MOTIVATED ME TO TAKE THE PLUNGE TO DO A BLOG....:)

5. Do you enjoy amusement parks?

I DO!! NOT AS MUCH AS I USED TO THOUGH, SOMETHING ABOUT BECOMING A PARENT & GETTING OLDER....USED TO HAVE NO FEAR...WOULD JUMP ON ANY/ALL ROLLER COASTERS, ETC. AND THE LAST TIME I WENT I STARTED FLIPPING OUT.....NOT SOMETHING I'M INTO ANYMORE, GUESS I STARTED REALLY THINKING ABOUT THE SAFETLY OF THE EQUIPMENT ETC.

1. What reveals more about a woman-her refrigerator or her purse?

I WOULD SAY A PURSE....IT SHOWS WHAT A WOMAN FINDS IMPORTANT OR ESSENTIAL FOR EVERY DAY LIVING....MINE IS FULL....FROM COUPONS/GIFT CARDS/MEDICINES/HAND SANTIZER/CALCULATOR ETC. I CAN'T GO A DAY WITHOUT MINE....AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN FIND IN A WOMANS PURSE....LOL ;)




2. When was the last time you visited a zoo? Where? What's your favorite zoo animal?

IT'S BEEN A LONG WHILE, PROBABLY WHEN I WAS IN 5TH GRADE. WE'RE PLANNING ON TAKING CHLOE SOMETIME THIS SUMMER.


3. What social issue fires you up?

HEALTH CARE ISSUES....FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE OFF THE GOVERNMENT WITH NO PLANS OF BETTERING THEMSELVES....THINKING THAT WE AS SOCIETY OWE THEM THE BREATH THAT THEY BREATE....I COULD GO ON AND ON....

4. Are you a coupon clipper? Are you extreme?

YES, I LOVE, LOVE COUPONS...I'M NOT EXTREME THOUGH, I DON'T BUY TONS OF SUNDAY NEWSPAPERS TO GET THEM, BUT WHEN I FIND A GOOD COUPON I CUT IT. I DO ALOT OF ONLINE COUPON SEARCHES ETC. AND READ LOTS OF BLOGS ABOUT SAVING $$$.

5. What is one of your favorite souvenirs brought back from your travels?

I HAVEN'T TRAVELED TO ANY FAR OFF COUNTRY OR ANYTHING. I ALWAYS TRY TO BRING BACK A FEW SOUVENIRS OF SOME SORT BUT NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL.

6. Lemon meringue or key lime?

I WOULD SAY LEMON MERIGUE...I LOVE THE FLUFFY MERINGUE THE BEST ON THE PIE.

EXCITED ABOUT MY YARD RENOVATIONS BEING DONE TODAY & TOMORROW, IT'S GOING TO LOOK SO GOOD....YOU CAN TELL I'VE BEEN WATCHING TOOOOOO MUCH DIY NETWORK, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE PAYING TO HAVE IT DONE...

Chloe with her NEW Ladybug capri set....Chloe Loves ladybugs like I do.....was hoping she would like to have a "Ladybug" themed birthday party, but looks like she's still holding on to her other option....several months to go until August, but we ( Chloe & I) are BIG-time planners....:)

PRODUCTIVE, but BUSY weekend!!!

Busy, but productive weekend. Tons & tons of garage sales....And we "SCORED"!!!! Chloe is even addicted to going to them, so funny to hear a 3 year old start, squeeling when we find a really good garage sale. Found some unique pieces and actually some things I've been holding out and looking for.

Pressure washers are WONDERFUL for cleaning up things, amazing what a little pressured water and soap can do, almost practically NEW - looking!!!

Soaked up a little sun too, yard work was on the agenda again ( seems like an unending chore, not that I'm complaining, just sometimes it takes forever).

thankful THURSDAY

1} My Mini Calculator - A "MUST" in my purse for all the shopping trips I make. I'm the kind of person that has to know exactly what an item is going to cost before going to the cash register or if I have a % off coupon, I want to know what the final cost would be....Very Frugal....

2} My Calendar - I'm very organized and a *BIG* time planner. My hubby hates this trait of mine, I think it's very smart and alot of time planning things, saves you lots of $$$. I have calendars everywhere, 2 @ my desk, one in purse, several at home...
